Guest FAQs & Policies
If you will be attending a wedding or event at The Highlands Estate (the Venue), we are looking forward to having you here! To make your visit as enjoyable as possible and make sure there are no misunderstandings, we’ve put together some notes for you to be aware of:
Can I take and Uber or Lyft to The Highlands Estate? While this may be possible, with the limited availability of ride- sharing drivers in the area, this may not be a reliable option and you could be stranded at the end of the evening. We do not recommend using a ride-sharing service.
Vehicles may not be left overnight.
No RVs: Vehicles that cannot fit in a standard parking space, such as RVs or trailers, are not permitted on the property.
ANIMALS Guests are not to bring any animal, except service dogs defined by Title II and Title III of the ADA, to the Venue. Emotional support animals, comfort animals, and therapy dogs are not service animals under Title II and Title III of the ADA and are not permitted on the property.
Alcohol Guest may not bring or consume their own alcohol; any alcohol that is provided will be served via the bartender.
Smoking & Vaping There is no smoking (or vaping) anywhere on our property except the designated areas outside of our Four Seasons barn.
Weather We are located about 1,000 feet above the town of Cloverdale and have our own micro-climate, which means that during the summer months we’re typically 5-10 degrees cooler than Cloverdale. Even on warmer days, we cool off nicely during the evening. If you’d like to check the weather for yourself, we suggest using Yorkville, CA 95494. You can also check our Weather page which has our average temperatures and rainfall throughout the year.
Busing & Parking If you have been notified by the couple that there is no parking on site, you must be transported to the Venue. Typically, the couple will provide buses with one or more pick-up locations. If you miss the bus or are unable to take the bus for any reason, you will need to take a taxi to the Venue. Do not take your vehicle as any vehicles parked at the Venue will be towed at the owner’s expense. Also note that if you take the bus, you will be dropped off and picked up at the ceremony site. If you take a taxi service, they must drop you off and pick up just inside our property entrance, where you will need to walk up a hill to the ceremony site (it’s about an 800-foot walk on a gravel road). We highly recommend that you take advantage of the buses that the couple is graciously providing for their guests!
